Life in the South

The trials and tribulations of parenthood and living away from family from a "Yankee" raising a baby in the south.

Uh oh, it's cold and raining in the South

Well, this is a new experience for me. There is a forecast of sleet and freezing rain tonight, and yet Delta has already cancelled over 200 flights tomorrow! There hasn't even been a drop of precipitation yet and there are schools closing! At work today they handed out a weather number just in case it is too bad and they close the offices. This is quite amusing! The grocery stores were slammed because everyone thinks the city is going to be shut down tomorrow. I'll keep you posted!

UPDATE:
No snow, no ice, some sleet, but at 3am. Just 34 degree weather and buckets and buckets of rain.

Sounds like Seattle! Minus the rain now, luckily. Good luck with the drivers... :)

Ugh, sounds awful. Rain in January is uber-depressing! Snow tomorrow for us!
