Miles per Gallon

So we all know how much gas prices suck. . .Adam gets a bimonthly beer magazine with a very interesting fact this month. Did you know that people walk over 900 miles a year and drink on average 22 gallons of beer a year. That means that Americans get about 41 miles to the gallon. Now why can't our cars do that? I think that is so funny that someone actually computed that!

Another thing on real gas mileage. Did you know that the French are shortening their work week to 4 days to help people conserve gas? Why can't we do that? I am totally game for only working 4 days a week.

It is summer and I have become a major slack, as you can see in my lack of postings. I have become accustomed to being done with summer school by 11:30, having lunch before 1 and then laying down for at least a 2 hour nap every day! Geesh. . . what am I going to do when I go back to school full time? How am I ever going to make it without my daily nap? I love it!! This is the life! I totally understand the idea of a siesta for lunch now, I think we should institute it in the U.S. Before summer school started, the team that I taught with planned a teacher outing and we treated ourselves to the Georgia Aquarium. It is still the largest in the world and it was absolutely breath taking. Here are the pictures from our outing.

Really, not much else has been going on. Just hanging out inside during my new definition of the lazy days of summer!!
