Happy Valentine's Day
And for my friend Heather, Happy AVD! I'm still with you Schmeath!
You see, Heather and I HATE valentines day. . .we would drink and wear black hearts in college.
In all my memory, I have had 3 awesome Valentine's Days in my entire life. I think that is pretty sad considering I'll be 30. All 3 have been because of Adam. One when we were dating in college, one we had just been married over a year, and this year. We had set a $25.00 limit on gifts and decided to go from there. He called me today and said he might be at work all night. He wasn't kidding either. His department had to redo the entire budget for the company in a day. I thought it would be 10 or later when he got home. He did make it home around 7 and we decided to exchange presents. Now me, I got him the John Grisham book he wanted, and a new water jug for his soccer games. I went about $10 over with cards, but oh well. Then I opened my present, I was so surprised. There hasn't been too many times that he has surprised me so much. I got a Garmin (my model here)!!!!! I've needed one terribly bad for my new job (he's probably sick of me getting lost and calling him at work for directions), but he got it for me! Totally blew the $25 out of the water, and I don't even care--I couldn't tell you the last time I was this shocked. I was so excited, happy, flabbergasted (there aren't enough adjectives to put here. . . )I really have the most perfect husband. . .

Aw - way to go, Adam! Glad you didn't end up having to succumb to the lean pocket, ice cream, and chick flick evening (AVD in true form) after all!
