Happy 6 Year Anniversary!

Believe it or not, Adam and I have been married 6 years today! So hard to believe. Even more amazing is that our first date was actually 10 years ago this past April! Time flies when you are having fun!

What a crazy week we have had leading up to today. . .this time last week we were actually in Ohio for a wedding. Friday we had the wonderful pleasure of playing with our niece and nephew. Adam and Kyle actually built a race car together in their matching Home Depot aprons. It was adorable to watch. Friday night we headed to the bar-we decided that if we tell everyone where we will be, they can come see us. We had a pretty good turn out, and it was so fun to see everyone again! Then Saturday we headed up to Defiance for the wedding and reception. Congrats Matt and Leandra! The reception was awesome and it was so much fun catching up with everyone from Wittenberg again.

Wednesday I left for Kansas again. You know, every time I go there it rains. We did get to take in some history this time. I actually got to visit the school that was segregated in Kansas that was behind the Supreme Court case Brown vs. Topeka Board of Education, which was the case that overturned school segregation. I always used to teach it in history, and it was amazing to see the school building itself.

Well, I am going to go get ready for our wonderful dinner tonight at one of the 10 most romantic restaurants in Atlanta!

Catching up

So I am sorry it has been so long.

Here is a mini-rant before we get into the ‘catching up’ part of the post. So it took me over an hour and a half to get home from work last night! Stupid 285, I have blogged about my perils on it before. Yesterday it was shut down. Here is where I got confused. It was 285 Southbound that was shut down. I figured I was totally fine since I lived on the Northwest side of the city. Nope. For some reason, Southbound 285 is actually located on the Northwest side of the city. Can anyone explain this to me?

It has been a crazy couple of weeks for us! I was in Kansas for work and started some classes online to finish those last 6 classes for my masters. We are mostly unpacked in the house. Here are some pictures with our furniture and the house clean! Then last weekend we had a housewarming party with about 30 people coming over and Adam showing off his skills on our new grill! Tomorrow we leave for Ohio for a college friend’s wedding, and then we return on Sunday and I leave Wednesday morning to go back to Kansas. Needless to say, Adam will NOT let me buy red glitter shoes to wear. Meanie. Anyways, besides it being really hot here and unpacking, there hasn’t been much going on!

Gators in Atlanta?

I know it has been a while, I have been trying to figure out something really fun to write. I have been very busy traveling with work and still trying to unpack. . .

I just had to post this article though. I know it has been hot here, but for an Alligator to make it this far? Watch your children!!
