Merry Belated Christmas to us!

We are finally home sweet home. . . we had a wonderful trip to Ohio for Christmas but we are glad to be back. The awesome thing I realized today is just how truely lucky we are. We have an amazing family (except a few people), fantastic friends here in Georgia, great friends from college all over (some that we got to see when we were home), we love our new house, we both love our jobs, and most of all we have each other! Everything couldn't be better, I almost feel the need to pinch myself! It was just nice to reflect today since we are home and just thinking about the past year with new years around the corner. . .

We also decided this year to not buy each other Christmas presents and we would get a new TV. So today, our frist day back in town we went TV shopping and just brought this home. I LOVE it! Adam has been pining over this 42" LCD flat screen for months, and I must say so myself, it does look very nice in our built in. Just in time for the Patriots game. . . (go Giants!)

Is it so?

Am I becoming a Southern Girl? Does that mean it's time to move again?? Adam swears used y'all in a sentence, and I think I said it at work this week too. Uh oh. Then, last week I was Indianapolis for training and I really thought that the men were almost rude there! None of them got the door for me or held the door open for me. I must admit, I have become quite accustomed to the southern gentlemen holding doors for me. I know when we first moved here and someone would hold a door for me, I would pick up the pace so they didn't have to wait long on me. Now, I don't hurry as much and I enjoy that gentlemen are thoughtful enough to do it. Does this mean I'm a southerner? I did tell Adam that if and when I acquire an accent, we're leaving.

We are getting ready for our Christmas party tonight. We used to have one every year at Christmas in Ohio. It sure is different getting ready for a Christmas party when it's 62 outside!!

Bah Humbug people and Animals already?

I just had to attach this picture of Bailey. Isn't he thrilled that he is a reindeer kitty? How is he not enjoying the season? He seemed so excited to be playing with the lights, guess he didn't really want the ears. . . He has 2 Christmas trees in our house to take his pick to lay under (which he loves to do!!).

Or how about the Bah Humbug people that live behind us and called the police on us Saturday night when we were in the hot tub? We doubled with another couple and ended up back here and at about midnight in our drunken stupor we all decided that it was a great idea to get in the hot tub. I guess our radio was too loud. . .but why couldn't they have told us instead of calling the police? I got SO scared, I felt like a little kid. That was the first time I have ever had the police called on me!

Even though I'm more in the Christmas mood than last year, it is certainly hard to be in the spirit when you are still raking leaves on December 2nd, and they aren't even all down yet!
